police recovers non ferrous metals worth k168 million

The police on the Copperbelt have recovered non ferrous metals worth 168 million kwacha that is alleged to have been stolen from Ndola last week.
Disclosing the development to radio phoenix today, officer commanding Ndola district mr bonny kapeso explains that the metals where stolen from a non-ferrous metal works Zambia limited in Ndola between 23rd and 26th December last year.
He said a security officer at a named company was bribed with 10million kwacha so that they suspected criminals could get away with the metals.
Mr kapeso stated that the four suspects are now in police custody to help with further investigations and will appear in court soon.
