THE PRESIDENT SAYS THE N’CWALA TRADITIONAL CEREMONY WHICH HAS ATTRACTED HIGH LEVEL REPRESENTATION FROM THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY AND THE REGION HELPS ENCOURAGE IN FOSTERING INTERNATIONAL CULTURAL COOPERATION FOR CONTINUED PEACE AND ENHANCED UNDERSTANDING.
SPEAKING AT THE TRADITIONAL CEREMONY TODAY AT MTENGULENI IN CHIPATA, EASTERN PROVINCE, PRESIDENT BANDA FURTHER ASKED THE MINISTER CONCERNED WITH CULTURAL ISSUES FALL TO OPEN A CHAPTER OF MEMORANDA OF UNDERSTANDING AMONG COUNTRIES REPRESENTED AT CEREMONIES LIKE THE N’CWALA.
HE SAID SUCH A MOVE WILL HELP TRADITIONAL CEREMONY TO BE RECOGNIZED ON THE INTERNATIONAL SCENE.
AND PRESIDENT BANDA HAS STATED THAT GOVERNMENT WILL CONTINUE TO WORK ON IMPROVING SOCIAL SERVICES DELIVERY SUCH AS AGRICULTURE AND EDUCATION AMONG OTHERS.
HE SAID GOVERNMENT WILL CONTINUE TO SUPPORT THE SMALL SCALE FARMERS UNDER THE FARMERS INPUTS SUPPORT PROGRAMME SO THAT FOOD SECURITY AND THE LIVELIHOOD OF THE MAJORITY ZAMBIANS DEPENDANT ON IT IS SECURED.
