SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISSION IN ZAMBIA DISPUTES THAT THERE IS LACK OF FINANCIAL RESOURCES ON THE MARKET

SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISSION SECRETARY AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER CLEMENT SICHEMBE HAS DISPUTED ASSUMPTIONS THAT THERE IS LACK OF FINANCIAL RESOURCES TO CARRY OUT HUGE CAPITAL INVESTMENT IN THE COUNTRY.
SPEAKING IN AN INTERVIEW WITH RADIO PHOENIX MR SICHEMBE EXPLAINED THAT THE COUNTRY HAS NUMEROUS RESOURCES OF CAPITAL WHERE PROSPECTING COMPANIES CAN BORROW MONEY FROM.
HE ADDED THAT WHAT THE SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISSION IS TRYING TO DO IS TO BRING THOSE IN THE INFORMAL SECTOR ON BOARD SO THAT THEY CAN ALSO BENEFIT FROM CAPITAL MARKET.
MR SICHEMBE EXPLAINS  THAT THERE IS SO MUCH MONEY IN THE INFORMAL SECTOR AND THIS IS THE REASON THE COMMISSION IS WORKING WITH OTHER STAKEHOLDERS TO BRING ON BOARD.
SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISSION CAPITAL MARKET HAS BEEN IN EXISTENCE FOR THE LAST 16 YEARS WITH 20 COMPANIES LISTED ON IT.
