Delay at kazungula border post continues

Delay at the kazungula border post has continued to maroon more tracks since the break down pontoon.
The break down of the pontoon which has today entered day five has caused many drivers and traders to be stranded at the border post which consequently has a negative effect on the revenue collection by government.
And one driver talked to by radio phoenix asked government to find a permanent solution to the situation.
And the zambia revenue authority commissioner general wisdom Nhekairo who could not disclose how much they have lost out in terms of revenue collection, stated that what they have done is to divert Traffic other entry points.
Mr Nhekairo who echoed calls from drivers that a bridge be erected across the Zambezi River disclosed that the revenue collection will be affected.
And works and supply minister mike Mulongoti has disclosed that a technical committee is between zambia and Botswana has already looked at the designs of the bridge and will be completed  by January next year.
Mr Mulongoti added that engineers are ratifying the current problem at kazungula border post.
