CPJ) HAS CHALLENGED GOVERNMENT TO ALLOW THE PRIVATE OWNED MEDIA TO BROADEN THEIR COVERAGE IN ZAMBIANS


THE COMMITTEE FOR PROTECTION OF JOURNALIST (CPJ) HAS CHALLENGED GOVERNMENT TO ALLOW THE PRIVATE OWNED MEDIA TO BROADEN THEIR COVERAGE IF  ZAMBIANS ARE TO FULLY ENJOY ACCESS TO INFORMATION.
IN AN INTERVIEW WITH RADIO PHEONIX STAFFER RHODA MFWANGO FROM NEW YORK CITY, COMMITTEE FOR PROTECTION OF JOURNALISTS  ADVISOR FOR AFRICA MOHAMMAD KEITA NOTED THAT PRESS FREEDOM IN ZAMBIA IS SLIDING BACK FROM THE TIME PRESIDENT  RUPIAH BANDA ADMINISTARTION TOOK OFFICE.
MR KEITA HAS SINCE CALLED ON THE PRESIDENT  TO BE CONSISTENT ON THE PRONOUNCHMENTS HE MADE ON THE FREEDOM OF THE PRESS AND ALSO URGE HIS CABINET TO FOlLOW SUIT.
