Govt urged to expedite the constrcution of a bridge at kazungula border post

Government has been urged to expedite the construction of the kazungula bridge across the Zambezi river if congestion at the border is to be  eased.
Some truck drivers interviewed at the border explained that congestion at the border has continued because many prefer using the entry point as it is shorter.
Radio phoenix staffer Rhoda mfwango reports that constructing the bridge at this entry point which borders  Zambia, Namibia and bostwana will help reduce time wasted during clearance as well as help increase revenue collected by government.
And one of the truck drivers who sought anonymity noted that it takes a lot of time for them to be cleared at the border, a development they described as unfortunate.
he added that sometimes the Immigration Offices are too slow which in most cases force them to spend weeks at the border forcing them to over spend hence being stranded.
