FOOD RESERVE AGENCY HAS COME UNDER FIRE FROM FARMERS IN LIVINGSTONNE FOR NON PAYMENT


THE FOOD RESERVE AGENCY HAS COME UNDER FIRE FROM FARMERS IN LIVINGSTONNE FOR NON PAYMENT OF THEIR 2009-20110 PRODUCE THAT THEY SUPLLIED TO IT.
OVER 100 FARMERS WHO TRAVELLED FROM ALL OVER SOUTHERN PROVINCE SAID THEY WERE TOLD TO BE AT THE FRA OFFICE BY 08:00 HOUSR TO COLLECT THEIR MONEY BUT WOKE UP TO A RUDE SHOCK AS THE OFFICES WERE COMPELETELY ABANDONED WITH ON ONE TO ATTEND TO THEM.
ONE OF THE FARMERS WHO SPOKE TO RADIO PHOENIX FROM LIVINGSTONE MR GEORGE SIBAJANE COMPLAINED THAT MANY FARMERS HAVE UPDATE NOT RECEIVED THEIR MONEY DEPSITE THE MANY PROMISES FROM FRA.
AND HE EXPLAINED THAT THE FARMERS WHO ARE NOW CAMPED AT THE FRA OFFICE IN LIVINGSTONE ARE EXPOSED TO POOR SANITARY CONDITIONS.
AND MR SIBAJANE HAS SINCE SUGGECTED THAT GOVERNMENT OVERSEES THE RUNNING OF THE FOOD RESERVE AGENCY STATING THAT THOSE MANDATED TO RUN IT HAVE FAILED.
