GOVERNMENT SAYS  ALLEGATIONS BY CHANGE LIFE ZAMBIA EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR FATHER FRANK BWALYA THAT IT IS ORCHESTRATING HATRED AGAINST ANY SECTION OF THE ZAMBIAN SOCIETY IS NOT ONLY CHEAP BUT ALSO IRRESPONSIBLE OF THE HIGHEST PROPORTION.
IN A STATEMENT TO RADIO PHOENIX, CHIEF GOVERNMENT SPOKESPERSON LIEUTENANT-GENERAL RONNIE SHIKAPWASHA SAYS ZAMBIA HAS BEEN A SHINING EXAMPLE WHERE MULTIPARTY DEMOCRACY HAS FLOURISHED SINCE THE EARLY 1990S WHEN THE COUNTRY REVERTED TO PLURAL POLITICS.
LIEUTENANT GENERAL SHIKAPWASHA, WHO IS ALSO INGORMATION AND BROADCASTING SERVICES MINISTER SAYS THE COUNTRY HAS HELD REGULAR, CREDIBLE AND PEACEFUL ELECTIONS WHICH HAVE BEEN ACCLAIMED BOTH REGIONALLY AND INTERNATIONALLY.
HE SAYS FR. BWALYA’S CALLS FOR SADC AND THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY TO CLOSELY MONITOR POLITICAL EVENTS IN ZAMBIA ARE HIS PERSONAL IMAGINATIONS WHICH SHOULD BE DISMISSED WITH THE CONTEMPT THEY DESERVE.
THE MINISTER FURTHER  SAYS  THE  GOVERNMENT OF  PRESIDENT RUPIAH  BANDA REMAINS STEADFAST IN PROVIDING EFFECTIVE  LEADERSHIP FOR CONTINUED PEACE, UNITY AND DEVELOPMENT IN THE COUNTRY.
